What distinguishes precision flat steel from conventional flat steel?

Unlike crude steel, precision flat steel is pre-machined and manufactured to significantly tighter tolerances in accordance with DIN 59350. This ensures high dimensional accuracy, flatness a scale-free surface, allowing the steel to be used directly in production without extensive reworking.

What tolerances apply to PRÄZI precision flat steel?

The tolerances for our precision flat steel are regulated by the DIN 59350 standard. For widths under 300 mm, the permissible dimensional deviation for thickness is generally 0/+ 0.05 mm. Parallelism and angularity are also precisely maintained.

What is precision flat steel typically used for?

Precision flat steel is primarily used in areas that require maximum precision, such as cutting and embossing tools, stamps, pressing tools, bending rails, knives, or machine parts.

In which materials can I purchase precision flat steel?

We offer a wide range of materials, including corrosion-resistant, tempered, and untempered tool steels, cold, hot, and high-speed steels, as well as plastic mold steels.

Does the PRÄZI GROUP also offer flat PRÄZI GROUP as cut-to-size parts?

Yes, in addition to standard lengths (e.g., 500 mm or 1030 mm), we also manufacture special dimensions and cuts according to your individual specifications on request.

How quickly can the PRÄZI GROUP deliver PRÄZI GROUP ?

If a desired dimension is not in stock, we manufacture special dimensions with minor dimensional deviations from standard program within 2 to 5 business days.
