What distinguishes precision flat steel from conventional flat steel?
Unlike crude steel, precision flat steel is pre-machined and manufactured to significantly tighter tolerances in accordance with DIN 59350. This ensures high dimensional accuracy, flatness a scale-free surface, allowing the steel to be used directly in production without extensive reworking.
What tolerances apply to PRÄZI precision flat steel?
The tolerances for our precision flat steel are regulated by the DIN 59350 standard. For widths under 300 mm, the permissible dimensional deviation for thickness is generally 0/+ 0.05 mm. Parallelism and angularity are also precisely maintained.
What is precision flat steel typically used for?
Precision flat steel is primarily used in areas that require maximum precision, such as cutting and embossing tools, stamps, pressing tools, bending rails, knives, or machine parts.
In which materials can I purchase precision flat steel?
We offer a wide range of materials, including corrosion-resistant, tempered, and untempered tool steels, cold, hot, and high-speed steels, as well as plastic mold steels.
Does the PRÄZI GROUP also offer flat PRÄZI GROUP as cut-to-size parts?
Yes, in addition to standard lengths (e.g., 500 mm or 1030 mm), we also manufacture special dimensions and cuts according to your individual specifications on request.
How quickly can the PRÄZI GROUP deliver PRÄZI GROUP ?
If a desired dimension is not in stock, we manufacture special dimensions with minor dimensional deviations from standard program within 2 to 5 business days.

Precision flat steel
Precision flat steel forms the basis for many tools and machine parts. We supply flat steel in accordance with DIN 59350 with a scale-free surface and in an annealed condition. Thanks to our manufacturing process with tight tolerances in terms of dimensional accuracy, flatness parallelism, our flat steel can often be processed directly.

Precision square steel
Our precision square steel is also manufactured in accordance with DIN 59350 and is ideal for the construction of frame structures and other solid components. We guarantee dimensional accuracy in width, thickness, and length, as well as excellent angularity and parallelism. On request, we can supply with machining allowance as a custom-fit cut.

Precision round steel
We offer precision round steel as the perfect solution for rotating parts, shafts, and cylinders. The ground version with tight tolerances (e.g., h8) is ideal for applications in molding tools, machine parts, and structural elements. We carry a wide range of heat-treated and non-heat-treated tool steels.
