FAQ

What distinguishes steel plates from flat steel and sheet metal?

Steel plates are generally wider than flat steel (width over 150 mm) and thicker than heavy plate (which goes up to approx. 60 mm thick). Our precision steel plates are designed for solid components and base frames that require maximum plane parallelism.

What is the standard surface finish of the steel plates?

Our steel plates are often delivered raw rolled with mill finish. Ground finishes are also possible in some cases.

Does the PRÄZI GROUP offer custom-made PRÄZI GROUP ?

Yes, we offer customized solutions that include specific cuts and processing according to customer requirements. This is the primary manufacturing method for steel plates due to their wide range of applications.

What are the advantages of cold-rolled steel for panels?

Cold-rolled steels are generally more resistant to deformation and have more precise dimensions than hot-rolled steels. This is crucial for precision steel plates.

How are deliveries of steel plates handled?

Delivery is made from our warehouse. The risk is transferred to the customer upon handover to the transport service provider. We work with reliable logistics partners to ensure punctual and safe arrival.

Are there any certifications for the quality of the steel plates?

Yes, we value quality and reliability. Technical information and material properties can be requested via the product categories or directly from customer service.
