FAQ

What special properties do PRÄZI erosion blocks have?

Our erosion blocks are characterized by a scale-free front side and a grain running perpendicular to the contact surface. The vertical grain contributes to maximum service life and crack resistance.

In which material are the blocks available?

The erosion blocks are available in cold work steel 1.2379 as standard.

What degrees of hardness are the eroding blocks available in?

We offer the erosion blocks in two versions: soft annealed approx. 255 HB) and hardened (61 +/- 2 HRC).

What applications are ideal for these blocks?

Their combination of toughness and cutting ability makes them ideal for high-precision applications in the manufacture of punches, dies, and molded parts, especially in punching and forming tools.

What tolerances apply to the erosion blocks?

The blocks are supplied with high precision, adhering to tolerances for dimensional accuracy (LxWxD), flatness, angularity, and parallelism.
