What are the advantages of a direct-feed auger in a biogas plant?


Direct-feed augers enable particularly compact and efficient feeding of the fermenter, as the substrate is fed directly without additional transfer stations.

– simplified plant structure

For which substrates is a direct-injection system suitable?

Direct-injection systems are optimally designed for corn silage in standard operation, but can also operate reliably with more challenging substrates.

Suitable substrates include, among others:

– corn silage
– solid manure
– grass
– whole-plant silage (GPS)

Thanks to their robust construction and powerful drives, even high-fiber materials can be conveyed reliably. The technology is designed exclusively for solid feed—pure liquid systems (e.g., liquid manure) are not within its scope of application.

Is direct injection suitable for my biogas plant?

To install a direct injection system, a fermenter is required that is either fully or partially buried in the ground. This requires a low water table.
